Busted Coil

Busted Coil
When I originalled bought my older pair of kicker CVR's, the one made like a buzzing or ratteling sound when it hits certain notes. The other ones fine, so this leads me to believe that one of the coils is toast, or something is in it thats causing the rubbing or what ever. On the other sub, it sounds good, but one of the wires from the post to the cone has detached, and i'm going to bring that into a shop to get fixed (10 bucks, and I don't like fooling around with that stuff). So until I get the other one fixed, I have to put up with this buzzing sound, and It's getting rathering annoying. Is their any way to fix it?

I've always been a fan of kicker because of the superb quality of their products.....
the sub thats buzzing has a misalligned coil... check to see if the spider has pulled away from the basket or from where it meets the cone/coil.... if thats the case gluing it back should fix the problem....
otherwise if the spider is torn or the coil is just plain misalligned as a factory defect then you are pretty much SOL.....
send it to me for recone....
