Car Audio equipment for Home Audio...Dumb idea?

Ok...So I've had a set of Morel Tempo's in my car for a few years now and it seems to be the perfect speaker for me. I am very sensitive to harsh tweeters and I look for a smooth/relaxed sound. And Morel does it for me.

I'd love to have these speakers in my home. I know I would need a 4ohm amp, But I am guessing you can't get 4ohm home stereo amps because that just sounds odd to be putting that much power in your home stereo.

I've watched a vid on Youtube of a guy building speaker enclosures for the Morel Dotech series and using them inside his house, I have no idea what he uses to power them as he does not really tell.

If I want to use car audio speakers in my home, Just a dumb idea? Or what if it can be done properly?

it can be done, all depends on the particular drivers and how you want the speakers to perform. Start by modelling the woofers in winisd. Don't worry about the impedance, most receivers should be able to handle it.

Not a dumb idea at all. I've seen it done plenty of times, it just needs to be done properly .
I've seen car audio in the home and home audio in a car.

Just be sure you have the right impedance.
