WIll you crank it up to 40 again after you fix your problem ?!.

That probably damaged your subs with all that clipping too.. I would make sure that you wire the power to the deck straight from the battery and put a fuse, theres prob a hidden fuse in the stock wiring somewhere.

umm...well there was a fuse in the 12v line, and it was fine...but i also took the fuse out of the equation just to see, and it still didn't work. Where else would there be a fuse...I tried digging through the wires...and thats all I came up with. I am going in there right now with a voltmeter.

If I were to run a wire straight from the battery...do I just run..say, a 18awg wire? 10awg? and go straight to the 12v line?(with a fuse along the way ofcourse)

and no, I won't crank it to 40 again... was a stupid mistake on my part. But there was no clipping...it just shut off

thanks alot

10 or 12 gauge would be fine for 50W deck.

okay, well multi-meter shows that the 12v line is only doing .1V lol. I am going to tap it into the fan control line, and then try my luck.

Thanks alot for all the great help!

lol you should of warned me about the 12v line and saving memory on the HU itself, lol. Come tomorrow I am going to have to try and find a new 12v source to run it off of that is constant....trying the cigarette lighter? or should I just run a new wire?

Get back to me,

Thanks alot
