Starter is done for. Could that be linked to have happening due to my car audio? Might sound stupid but i was just wondering because the starter i thought might have troubles sometimes turning over because a not fully charged battery because of my system draining it slightly. Just thought the starter might have had to work harder and therefore to hard and now its doesnt work.

I had a 97 cavi z24, by the time it was 6 yrs old, i had replaced everything electrical. 1st alt, then starter, heater blower, rad fan, alt again, etc., etc.
the Tahoe should have a big alt, but a 97 is coming up to 10 yrs old.

^ It's common through all GM product. By the time I had 90,000km on my Lumina Z34 I had spent $13,000 in out of warranty labour on it including computer, throttle positioning sensor (twice), four fuel pumps and three alternators (in one year, and it never had anything other than the factory stereo in it ) and various vacuum leaks, etc. I thought my Z28 was bad..
