when i bought mine i think it was 3 month warranty or an extra $100 for one year.

the brush holder inside was not tightened so it flipped and broke from what i could tell and the alt wouldnt charge. Being that it was the only alt and had to get to work i opened it up to see what was wrong and emailed dom. He said warranty would not be covered because i opened it (understandable i suppose) but wouldnt cover shipping or parts or labour in any way to fix it. Luckily i was able to fix it myself and use it for another couple months with no problems but I never ended up getting the big amps in that car.

Sold it a while later to a local competitor who had it tested to put out like 160 amps at 5k rpm whereas what i paid for was a 280 amp.

 

zinger002, I still have that excessive amperage 180 Amp Alternator. If you remember you showed interest a while back.

its from a 98-02 Honda accord 4cyl and its still installed in the car...I'm ready to sell whenever. Actually gonna uninstall it this weekend.
