Eclipes CD5030 and the included mic
I'm just running passive with the tweeters in the sails, That's why I want to use this mic to get it more accurate.
Doesn't say in the manual if they need to be active or not, Just says it will do it automatically.

I have this deck too, and it only came with 1 mic (for the blue tooth, at least thats what I'm using mine as. IIRC its a 3.5mm jack) I did the timing alignment my self, but maybe its easier with only front components.
The deck does have a position feature under sounds i believe. Did you try that?

Yeah, But the position selector is totally useless and makes no sense. If I set it to the front it just turns the back speakers down a little.
I only use my fronts, Have everything faded to the front.
I can't do time alignment manually because the components are on a passive network and the tweeter + mid are at a distance. I was hoping the mic would fix my problems, I'd like to get one and see if it does or not.

I don't use rear speakers, I would just cut the wires if I used the mic.
The time alignment on the CD5030 doesn't show a tweeter or a mid, It only shows one speaker per side. So I am guessing you need Coaxial speakers to use the time alignment on the deck.
The tweeter is in the sail and the mid is in the door, So each has to be adjusted seperately.
I don't understand how you can adjust it if you cannot adjust the tweeter and the mid?

So because the deck doesn't have a picture of a tweeter and a mid, but a picture of 4 speakers means timing alignment wont work for components?
because you don't use the rears allows you to do timing alignment. The deck can do timing alignment for 4 speakers. Last I counted components have 4 speakers; tweeterx2 midbassx2.
Use the front channel for the tweeters, the rear channel for the midbass. Now you can use timing alignment for all 4 speakers from your pair of components.
If you don't know already, you'll need either: Active crossovers, or a passive one that has separate in/output for the tweeter and mid. Also an amp that has 4 channels, each driving a different tweeter and midbass. A mic wont magically make this work. I think you should do some more reading, or try to be clear on what your problem is/what your setup is.
