so a 200 amp alternator would probably be my best bet then, i was thinkin bout that myslef but wasnt sure, and i would be able to fit everything into the trunk, both backseats do fold down in 60/40 pattern which gives me a base to screw down/wire up all my amps which leaves my trunk free for the woofers, im not worried so much about the space in the trunk etc.../look of it, i more or less wanted to know if i needed a bigger alternator for this system, and from the feedback im gettin i think i do.... so would a 200 amp alternator also be ok if i did want to add another woofer?? cause all i wanted to do was add one more so id have 4 15''s in the back with their own amplifier...

Forget the alternator...get some Audiobahns....the ones with the chrome flames.

oh yeah how could i forget not to mess with the almighty audiobahn or whatever the **** theyre called, dude get a clue, who else in the world makes the worlds biggest/baddest/most powerfull woofer, uuummmm i dont think audiobahn does, theyre waaaay to for that, oh yeah now i remember who makes them....MTX!!!!!

I was being sarcastic....if you're going to do it wrong then what's the point...just buy some bling.
MTX are OK as far as woofers go, but they are only "parts on the counter" untill they're installed.
I'm totally unimpressed with their TC amps....overheat, cheap controls, but whatever turns your crank. And BTW they are NOT pefectly suited to the subs.
They only put out 400 Watts....the subs can take a pile more than that with music, or a 3 second burp.

So...you're going to lose 6 db by putting too many subs into too small a space, then try to "buy " those dB's back with more power.....but now you need a bigger alternator, more wire, etc, etc.
Sigh....


Oh Yeah.....4 of those amps will draw up to 200 amps of current to produce only 1600 watts of output....not at all efficient compared to a good class D amp.
Kinda like putting 10 15hp lawn tractor motors under the hood to get as much power as a single cheap 4 cylinder motor....You can probably do it, but it really makes no sense. ('cept to your local FS salesman's paycheck)
