how to wire a quad vc sub

how to wire a quad vc sub

anybody has a diagram or web address for this
tried but couldn't find anything

What resistance are the vc's and what amp are you wiring it up to.

these are quad 1 ohm X4
amp could be 1,2, or 4 ohms so i was looking for a few configurations

i prefer to hook this sub two an amp that does 2 channels 4 ohm bridged on each channel

You can wire it to .25 ohms, 1 ohm or 4 ohms.

the 2 web sites i was thinking of do not have .........hole on Phoenix Gold had a 12" sub with 4vc look at there site .it will be in there wiring part or donw loads

pretend your sub has single coils like 4 different subs , wire them all down and you will get 0.25

to get the sub to play at 4 ohm take the positive and from your amp and a negative to your amp

there are 4 sets of coils right

lets say 1 , 2, 3 , 4

take the positive and place it on the 1 coil and take the negative on the 2 coil

now jump the 1,2 coils together yes + and - together

next coil 3 connect the + to the + 1 coil , then same with the negative

finaly the 4 coil connect it to the 2 coil , + to + and negative to -

there should be 7 wires in total if you have more or less you are wrong

last take the MM and you will see 1ohm
