Well, if you want to be real about it
Not trying to be , but offer a realistic scenerio. Even your 180 amp "Iraggi Amputator" alt wont hold 14.4 volts while trying to feed 150+ amps to a big amplifier.

Oh, lol, I wasn't referring to you, I was saying in general if "one" wants to be , then it's ok to be gay in this day and age.

Seriously, I know what you mean, HO alts have less voltage then stock ones. That's the trade-off for more current. My Iraggi won't hold 14.4 when warm even with system off, but it's my Iraggi, and I love her nevertheless. That's why I choose to run fully regulated amps.

Here is a nice link. You can input your voltage or whatever (12.5 or 14.4) and get answers.

Very simple to use.
