in my pioneer pdeh4200 it says that use a speaker with 4 to 8 ohms, do not use 1 to 3 ohms...... what if my 4 ohms dual voice coils is set into 2ohms (to use te 500 rms) because i'll be using 2 channels amp..... what is the effect of this pls help....

what is the effect of doing this.... this is a double din HU most likely with an IC type amplifier, so I would guess: overheating and shutdowns. and since dual voice coils come on subs I would then say you are very adventurous to even try that

You really are new to this aren't you lol. If you're running a amplifier that doesn't mean anything. They are referring to hooking up speakers directly to the head unit. So since you will be running rca's to the amp, you won't have to worry about that

 

do your self a fav and go to a shop. not because Im an *** and dont want to answer your question (this question has no answer) but because you have this concept all wrong.

speakers that get wired to an amplifier have nothing to do with the head unit.

 

Don't worry what your head unit says if your subs are getting hooked to an amp anyways. You just gotta make sure amp can handle 2 ohms as the RCA have nothing to do with hu except they get plug into them. If you hook up new speakers directly to the hu then you gotta make sure those speakers are 4 ohm or bigger. And the reason is because you will over heat hu running low ohms. Same with amp. If amp can't handle 2 ohms it will also over heat.

 

Oh and don't worry about what some people say around here. There are no stupid questions or stupid mistakes just learning opportunities lol. A lot of people on here are just crabby lmao

it says after installing the cap.... temporariily attach the resistor supplied with the cap to the power cable... sorry for th the word diode....im refering to the resistor
