hi, i just want to ask you guys how to charge the capacitor coz i dont want to make a mistake (again).... i know i have to attach the resistor to the power cable and to the positive of the cap but i dunno coz there are colors like brown, black, orange and gold.... i just want to know what's the right way of connecting the resistor the gold for the power line or the gold to the cap..... thank you so much

I was reading online on google you can use ur regular battery with a test light between the battery positive and cap positive then the negative battery terminal to negative cap. If not use a resistor. That's what I read online. Some come pre charged also but I would do it the save way aka dont take my advice lol

If it didn't come with a charge card and you don't have a test light, try this.
Wire up the cap normally can connect it all, but make sure that you're fuse in your main power line is out. Get a resistor (I forget the type exactly but I got them from The Source) and some pliers and a friend put that in place of the fuse. With the friend at the cap end reading the voltage to you. If there is no display use a DMM. After it charges till it charges no more, you're done, just put your fuse in. That's how I did mine when I had it, and I learned from the Rockford site so it has to be correct. Now for a pro to come and say my way is wrong...
I'll be honest though, my cap was a 1 farad cap and it didn't help much (more reason for someone to come and say I didn't do it right I guess). I kept it as long as I did for looks and as a voltmeter. In the middle of a show I ripped it out and got louder on the meter...It sure was purdy though, metallic blue...
