just bought a sub need amp advice

i just recently purchased a kicker crv12 4 ohm subwoofer ... and i need to figure what am im going to use to run it ... im looking for somthing that will run it nicely but not cost me a fortune... anyone have any recommendations on an amp ?

single or dual coil??

whats the RMS??

check out the buy/sell section if you want a good deal and dont mind buying used.

kicker recommends the zx300.1 or 400.1, showtime in cobourg has those amps new for about 2bills right now.

I'd power it with atleast 400-500wrms. If you like Kicker (I do), keep an eye out for any 2 or one ch amps that fit that output.
Food for thought - if you think you may want to run 2 of the comps someday (why not?), look for an amp that will be 2 ohm stable to around 1000wrms. It'll probably be great at 4 ohms for your 1 comp. Happy listening.
