Kenwood Amp Dies ?

Kenwood Amp Dies ?
Sorry for all this mess and questions for everything. But here it goes.
Kenwood KAC-9102D Amp. Everything was working fine, until I removed the + and - main power wires to remove the sub box to do some quick work to other parts in my trunk.
I hook them back up, and now my amp won't fire up. Tested everything with the multi-meter, im getting +12V from the main power, and a +12v from the Remote.
Now, I was checking all the wires over again, and when my screwdriver was on the negative main power wire, it touched the side of the amp, then it started to work .
Im so lost now.

I have called up Kenwood Canada and they are no help eather.
Edit. Just ran another test. It now works, ONLY, if I have a wire connected to the MAIN ground termnel, then connected to the the other ground on the amp, its a screw slot just on top of where that bass boost adjust. **** would plug in.
Hmm. so what does this mean ?

I suggest taking it out of your system and just let it sit somewhere (safe) for a few days then try it again
I had an $800 video card in my computer completely stop working (I worked at a computer store at the time and everyone agreed it was dead and had to be rma'd) but just letting it sit on the shelf for 3 days (waiting for paperwork to process the rma number) gave it time to "rest" so to speak and I tried it one last time before I sent it off and it worked like a charm
It still works perfectly to this day (been over a year).
so thats my unusual suggestion to your unusual problem
well more of a longshot then anything
good luck

O alright, so it won't effect anything if I do the grounding method ?
I had it pumping with the grounding method and all seemed well.
Thanks so much guys, first ever complete custom system. Soon to have my g2.
