Mic needed for P800

I have a Pioneer P800PRS.

Do I need the mic to tune the deck or set the time alignment?

Deck came without the mic and trying to determine if I need to order one.

Yes, you need it for "Auto T/A and EQ". You can still set everything manually though.

Both just give you a baseline to work with so you'll want to tweak it yourself after the Automatic work is done anyways. I'd just skip getting the mic.
