New

Im new and dont really know much about car audio and wanted to know if i was to install new woofers in my car would i have to buy an amp or does the car already have a stock amp? Its a 2001 kia spectra.

Yes you would need an amp. Regardless if there was a factory amp, there are not reallly made for aftermarket subs.

the amp will not have the power you need and you can f-up big time fast

Ok i think the whole woofer thing im gona do later. If I got just a new deck and kept my stock speakers would that make the sound quality better? Louder?

yes i belive getting a good aftermarket deck will make your stock speakers sound alot better than before.
