Like I said...

The first clue is that it protects when the bass hits.

Who here knows why?

You thought I was him? Haha, Nope, I dont think I am.

These are the components to my system:

Front Speakers

Rear Speakers

Head Headunit

The speakers are rated at 80 and 85 watts and the Headunit has 4V preouts. Everything should be good yet I still have the issue.

Gothca, well, I dont have a sub and the only crossover I have is the one built in to the amp and an inline crossover for the tweeters on the front. But I will try the one on the amp and let you know how that goes I suppose.

Have you tried lowering all gains and ramping up the volume to see if it goes into protect? How solid are your connections into the amp?
I have checked the polarity to all the speakers and that doesn't seem to be a problem seeing as how everything is correct.

I have also tried dropping the gains as well but it still results protection mode on the amp.

I tried doing this too. I have an adjustable crossover on the deck as well as the one on the amp but still cannot solve this problem. I have tried all the different settings on the deck's crossover, as well as every thing between 0 and 400 Hz on the amp.

I brought the gains down with no luck. I'm not sure if it is the gains though because the whole system was working fine for months then all of the sudden this started happening randomly. I never adjusted anything on the amp for it to be doing this for no reason.

I have tried setting my crossovers ridiculously high and it still goes into protection. I am STUMPED!

test each speaker individually on the amp and see if the problem persists.

Me too! Could it possibly be the fuse? I haven't tried that yet and I'm not sure if anyone has suggested it either.

@emarciniak

When you were adjusting the crossover on the amp, what frequency did you set it to?
