Yeah I know but the owners manual depicts a wiring scenario that can be viewed differently and whats the purpose of the hi output wiring diagram Pioneer shows? I mean come hi power deck needs hi power amp; should have told my wife to get an Alpine like I use to own.........front/rear/sub out, simple and effective!

For a short time Pioneer used to promote being able to run a sub off of the rear channels. It's not enough power and leads to problems. For the minor cost I would pick up a small amp new or used.

I stand corrected, just looked up the manual.
Apparently you can run a small sub.
Be sure to do as the manual says, even though its really vague.

Although doing it that way, you'll lose the rear speakers.
The deck won't like 2ohm while running the 4 speakers.

Best bet will be to buy an amp.
Even a 4ch amp will work. Front channels of the amp to the front speakers, rear channels on the amp to the sub.
Rear channels on the deck to the rear speakers.

Thanks for the insight ,but, purchasing 4 600w amps to run front and rear speakers ( amp for front and rear independantly) and 2 dedicated amps to run 2 12 inch subs is easier than tempting fate with Pioneers suggestion on front and rear subs connecctions.
