k so 1200 at 1 ohm..are there disavantages to running it on 1 ohm compared to 4?

Monoblock at 1200W RMS @ 1 ohm it is.
I would suggest a Kicker KX 1200.1 maybe?

The lower the ohms, the sloppier the bass is in theory.
I don't know if this is audible or not, or even relevant.

Anything from maxxsonics will be good in price and performance. You will not be able to hear the difference from running an amplifier @ 4 or 1 ohms.
