Problem with subs and amp...and dont know what the problem is....
Hey guys, new member.
I bought a car recently (first car) and the guy threw in a Clarion 3200A amp and a rockford fosgate 10" sub. He didn't have time to reinstall the amp, but all the wires were there and the sub was in the trunk.
So I try to install it, easy right? Got the grounds connected to the amp, power, and head unit wires. Then the sub, I connect it the way he said and the way the sticker on the back of the amp said....nothing. Charge the car battery thinking that might be it. Nothing. Amp is getting power to it...the sub fried?
Then, after hours of trouble shooting, I throw in one of my dads MTX Thunder subs(he uses them for home theatre use). It works! Then, I try to install the other. Worked for a bit, (couple minutes of testing). Then I took the key out, Took one of the subs out(1 sounded cleaner). Turned car back on....nothing. I try to trace my steps, still nothing...... I am so confused. Is it possible that I blew 3 subs? Or is it the amp, or what?????????
Thanks and sorry for the story lol
(ps the amp is getting power, the light is on, and aswell as I hear the amp click on.....)
