lately my stereo fades in and out. stereo is loud for a few minites then sound fades like it is muting what could it be.

 

Sounds like your amps might be getting to warm and they fade to protect themselves.

Double check ground(not to long, good contact) and make sure your power wire is big enough. If everything is fine, then you might just have to not listen to it as loud and\or lower your gain.

 

I dont think the amp is getting too hot it just started these symtoms but maybe it is a bad ground. The system has been in the car for about yr now.
