Sub + Amp matchup

I'm trying to throw some equipment together in my car and I've run into a hitch - I am flat on my *** broke. All I have now for equipment is a pair of Energy ENC102s (200w rms 4ohm SVC) and a Power Acoustik OVN1-2000D.

Here's my issue. I have no money whatsoever to buy a new amp, and yet I'm worried this craptastic power acoustik one (which is going under the seat due to the fact that its the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life) is going to rape these subs. If I set my gains right, am I still ****ed? Or is there some wiring method that will allow them to survive?

wire the subs to get 2 ohms and set the gains on the amp a little bit before half way because at 2 ohms that amp does 900 rms so you want less than half

The other option is to wire the subs in series to 8 ohms...you'll be giving them around 3-400 watts. Take it easy on the gains and you will be safe

Wink Help in finding the perfect amp

I have a 12" Orion h2 DVc sub and I'm looking for a good amp to power that. I seen several 2 ch amps Rockford fosgate, Mtx, kicker but don't know what's the best . All the 2 ch amps have different frequency response and I'm not sure what that means so need ur help in finding the best one.

Kinda old post but is your sub a dual 4 or 2 coil? You'll want around 1000-1200rms to run it on a daily system to get best results from it. I don't suggest any higher power. The driver is fairly efficient for a high-power driver so you can get away with running a bit less power than I recommened if you need to but it won't be optimal.

This driver is box picky. Don't run it sealed. Ported go with 2.2net and tune at 33Hz.
