Question sub not playing low frequencies??

hey i was hoping someone here could help me..

I have a 10 inch clarion signature series sub hooked up to a JBL GTO 7001 amplifier... everything has been working great until this morning, i thought the sub cut out.. but it turns out its just playing all frequencies really queitly... i thought there was a problem with the cut offs on the amp.. so i lowerd the low band pass to about 100hz and cranked up the gain.. and i got some low sound out of it.. i tried switching to my old faithful backup rockford fosgate amp because i thought something was wron with the JBL.. but same problem

whats going on???
is my sub blown?

any help woudl be great.. thanks!

does your deck have a dedicated subwoofer output? is it possible that you have it turned down?
