subs ruined
hey, im new to the forum and i have a problem with my subs/amp/deck
they worked fine for almost 2 years and then one day i turned the car on and music was playing all fine and dandy, and then it cut out for no reason and every once in a while i get a random bass hit thats completely unrelated to the music... even if i turn the music down low or shut the subs off (via the deck) it still gives a wierd bass hit every 30 seconds or so...
the only way to get it to stop is if i turn off the subs and hen shut the car off and turn the car back on and leave the subs off...
so ive been driving around with no bass for the last few weeks and its really starting to bug me.... any sugestions?

sounds like your amp is going into protect, that is probably the odd bass note you are hearing(the amp trying to kick out of protect but sees the fault is still there so it kicks back in protect)
I would say check the impedance across the speaker terminals of the amp and make sure it is good, and check your ground and power makesure they are all still good.
