Subwoofer Volume/Displacement Question

I assume the recommended box volume for a subwoofer takes in to account the subwoofers own displacement? Kind of a dumb question but I just want to confirm.

Thanks

Normally the recommended box volume does not take into account the sub displacement, however some manufacturers includes it and when they do, it is stated.

Recently blew the surround off of a JBL GTO1014D (Not that I liked it in the first place and was looking for an excuse to upgrade) to an Orion XTRPRO104. The JBL was recommended for 1.25 cu ft volume ported but the Orion is only .75 so basically the long story short I'm wondering if the Orion will have enough displacement to close the gap well enough to not have to build a new box.

Found the owners manual online. Displacement is only 0.068. Not even close. Might need a new enclosure, no fun.

Try it in the enclosure and see how it sounds, go easy on the power.
