Urgent audio question - 7" touch screen deck help
i haven't wired up any touchscreens. but i know a couple of buddies old units only worked when the ebrake was engaged.
however it is setup, don't expect to watch movies while driving.
someone with a screen in their car have any input?

i have a alpine touch screen w205 i thought it was easy to bypass the saftey i bought some little pac7 module wired it in easily and i dont need the brake on to watch movies or to do any tuning it was pretty cheap too from what i remember
the only reliable unit i had any success with minimum success rate without rma'ing 20 times
were the 722 721 and 710's and sum 837bts(but they changed the unit again so maybe it betteR)
every other unit i had to RMA at lease withing 3 months
problems start from simple button breaking
to unit smoking and internally frying everything

Easiest way to bypass the safety thing is to wire the e brake wire (usually green) to a single pole switch, attach another wire to the switch and ground it. When the deck is turned on and you pop a DVD in you'll get a blue screen saying it's illegal to drive with video playing; toggle the switch from off to on and wait a few seconds, your video will pop up after that.
Older units just use a ground system, newer more expensive units have a gyroscope inside that senses if the car is moving or not.
