Why Don't My Subs Work?

Why Don't My Subs Work?
I have 2 kicker 10" solobaric subs powered by a pair of JL Audio e1200 amps. Worked beautifully until the other day, when my subs quit on me. With a little fiddling I can get one sub to work sporadically before it cuts out again after a few hits. I have the signal from my deck running to my right amp, looped from the right amp over to the left amp. Since they quit on me, only the sub receiving the signal directly from the deck will work, and even then only for a few seconds. A loose connection somewhere has been suggested, but i can't seem to find one. Any ideas?

how is the power and ground connections?
linking the remote power wire shouldn't be an issue.
i would directly wire in the 2nd amp to the remote to see if that amp is working at all.
if that does nothing i'd wire the sub that isn't working to the amp that is known to work to see if the sub is blown
hope that made sense...

Try by-passing the rca's on the first amp and put them into the second.
If that works, you know where the problem is.
I had a problem on an old car where the RCA's vibrated, broke the connections to the board inside the amp.

Thanks for the help and all the great ideas, but nothing has seemed to work yet. I know the amps both work however, and neither sub is blown. Could the problem be my capacitor? I got it used, and I've noticed that the connections on it are a little wiggly. If the ground cable gets jiggled around at all, the display on the cap goes out. My only other thought is that the deck could just be faulty and not sending a signal back to the subs?

well if you suspect the rca cables...my 1st step would be to hook up a set directly from the deck to the amp (a cheap set of 20 ft recotons will do), and don't install it, just plug it in to the deck and to the amp...if it works fine....you know what's up. If it's the same, then look at your amp's hook up(power, ground, remote, capacitor etc....). At this point, if you don't know how to check or what to look for...go see a pro, as it can be a multitude of other problems with components, wiring, deck settings, deck problems, oem wiring, shorts, etc...
