Will my amp power my subs????

I have just purchased two 12" 1200 watt Kaption SPL series subs. It came with a D700.1. Will it power my subs?? i was told it will but I thought getting some help from this community would help. Oh, and it came with a 1.0 Farad capacitor.. I know it stores energy so if there is a power drop it keeps the power constant to the amp but will it do the job right or should I buy a bigger one?

What are the coils on the subs? dual 2 or 4 ohm? Dual 4 will give you 1 ohm final and power them pretty good but if dual 2 then will end up with 2 ohm and you would be much better off the get another D700.1 (which I have hehe) and run one amp per sub as I have done in the past.

Aha, well yea, I am totally new at this whole sub thing. When I seen the subs and amp, they were big and nice looking. It costed me 400 bucks for both subs and the amp + the capacitor so I jumped on it. But I have no clue about subs at all. How do I tell if they at a duel coil or not???

The second link has a pretty good database of articles that might help you out somewhat.

Cheers!
