10" Downfire box

I've done a bit of research, spacing, sound deadening the floor, woofer hang/abuse etc..and I am still going to do it.
But... before I just "whip together a sealed box with feet", I thought I'd see what the community has to say about it.

The sub will be a O2 audio 10" dvc 700rms 1400 peak. It will only be running at approx 150w rms in a small as it needs to be box, built to fit in between the seats.
Any experience with downfire subs/boxes/design/troubleshooting etc???

I design downfiring boxes all the time. They work great, just remember to leave enough room from the floor to the sub

Very nice Unrated! Must fit like a glove. Is that box there for under a seat? Or behind?
I think my biggest problem will be covering the box with whatever material we use. First we have to find material that matches the cabin colors and then try to put it on. I can hardly button a shirt straight!!

The spacing off the floor from what I remember is just about 2" for a 10" sub.
Did you find going higher(if possible) changed the sound in any positive way?

thanks man

box fits under the seat.
i find 2" seems to work just fine, but depends on the speaker
Carpet is cheap, just make sure you have a sharp blade, makes things much easier
