2 subs.. 2 enclosures

I have a jl10w6v1 in a sealed box i want to add to my setup.. I already have a box sealed in there right now.. has anyone ever ran 2 seperate sealed boxes in a trunk before? can it be done and sound half good?

yes its been done it should work but what other kind of subs are you useing

other sub is a cadence ultradrive.. they are both within 50w rms of eachother in power handling so it should sound pretty even. Both will be wired 4 ohm bridged 300w rms.. then im gonna use my apx640.2 for my front stage.. now to find some components that can handle 160w rms..

personally i would stick to running only one kind of subs. ive seen installs where people mix and matched sub's and 99% of the time it look's ghetto

sure I do.. just who exactly am I gonna be showing this off to? people so they can jack my stuff? this is just a daily driver and the trunk is opened seriously once ever 3 months or so..usually when I'm doing something with the subs / amp.

They may be the same size and similar in power but I'd almost guarantee they sound different. That is never a good thing.

^^^^^^ Ditto.

Port that W-6 in a bigger box and save yourself the hassle of all that extra power amp install/expense, and it'll be better than the two you're doing sealed, hands down, and you can buy us all beer with the funds left over to boot

You might experience some cancellation too because of different phase characteristics.
