2011 Dodge crewcab 3500

Hey all, it's been a very long time since I've posted anything on here. I just picked up a brand new 2011 Dodge 3500 SLT diesel crew cab. I sorta had a plan for an install. I forgot to ask for the rear split seat when I ordered it, and when I picked it up this morning I looked in the back seat and noticed I had a solid rear bench seat. I was slightly disappointed.

So, here is what I'm asking. I really want to fit two 12" subs in there, but I don't think I'm going to have the room under the seat. The reason I want to stick with 12" subs is because I have 8 of them already. I have 4 older Orions, which will probably be the ones I go with. The other 4 subs are Pioneer SPL2000, which will not fit at all unless I take out the rear seat, and I don't want to do that.

I know how to fiberglass, I have done a fair bit in the past.

Anyone know of any links for ideas?

I also have a set of 6" Hertz 3-way components that I'd like for my front stage. and I plan to put my 6" JL components in the rear.

Oh, and is there anything I should know in advance before I start taking this thing apart?

Thanks in advance.

12"s are a tough fit under the seat, Raising the seat will help but you dont have a ton of depth, 5" maybe 6" and if you are using a sub with a large throw forget it.
You get about 1.6 cu/ft if you glass the whole tub, little more if you dont have the split seat.
We primarily use JL W1, W0 or W3 all in 10"
Kicker CVT and Alpine type S
Again all 10''s
Does it have the Alpine OEM system in it?

my old Orions only have about 5 inches of mounting depth, so they should be alright there. They probably compare to the JL W1.

it does not have the Alpine OEM system, just the basic stock stereo, I made sure of that. No sense in paying for something that'll be removed.

the hardest part of putting 12''s under the seat is that they have to sit so far back, this is where you run into clearance issues with the bottom of the seat.
Sit the sub as low as possible, raise the seat and find a grille, you should be ok.
as for the rest of the truck, its pretty straight forward, i usually install tweeters in the upper dash locations with success (just turn them down) lots of room in the doors for any mids you want.

I think the midrange may fit. I was also thinking about mounting the tweet to the a pillar, but wanted to try find a truck in an auto wrecker and snag the a pillars from it and fiberglass them for a nice fit. might be hard to find in the small area I live.
