Alpine Enclosure Build

Two 12" Type R's

2.45 cubic feet per chamber @ 35hz

Will be powered off an Alpine MRP800

Going in a 2004 GMC Envoy

i dont quite have the bit for the router and the jig needed to do it with the router, and i feel much more comfrtable with my hands and a trusty compass lol

Yeah, that's really good with the jig-saw.

What would you charge for a ported box, tuned to 33Hz, for a 12" Eclipse SW7200. 11mm one-way excursion, powered with 500W. The enclosure I made for this sub didn't turn out that well. I'm getting some extra noises at certain sustained frequencies. I think it has something to do with the the double walled baffle. There's only 4 screws and some wood glue holding them together. I think they're vibrating against each other when the tone is right. lol

How about a 10" Alpine Type S, in a ported box, tuned to 33Hz as well. 300W of power.

how is that working for you?

looks great btw are you gonna carpet or paint?

seems as though subs up port back in SUV's has given me the best result. as far as the enclosure, its gonna be bare MDF

I can't say I really like he bare wood look for sub boxes. It just seems unfinished to me. Amazing job on the construct tho!

bare mdf? gaurenteed to absorb moisture + swell and stink and go soft in no time

nice box and it is worth the time/money/effort to cover it and protect it
