Bassworx SPL demo car enclosure

I just built a pure SPL enclosure for the Bassworx Demo Car...

for the new Bassworx Series 4 SPL 12" woofers

his last set up was lacking....it hit only 147db

this one is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY louder..like I mean
much louder...they sound like 15's

1.0cf3 per sub plus port and sub dissplacement
common chamber tunned at 56hz with 101.75 sq inches of
port area

I'll take more pics after the cosmetics are done and the interior is
put back in...hopefully I will have a new DB score to go with the pics

crap is this set up LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he has 3000w rms running these suckers

for a demo enclosure, I thought you'd make it prettier??
maybe stretch some glass between the baffle and the port and glass it and paint it to match the car?

i think youd get better results without angling the baffle.

looks good though.

I think its too pretty as is for spl. Not much point in making it look good if its tuned to 56 hz

For demo cars, looking good should be a priority. Show the product better. I'm sure this install will look nice when it's all done though.

the objective here is DB's.... fiberglass does not make DB's

once we get some numbers from the mic the cosmetics
will be finished up..the car is in Penticton today

this design is VERY LOUD. the angled baffle works very well
in this perticular install

we did not even have a chance to test the box
out before he had it metered..we have no clue what
frequency it peaks out at yet......
with a sweep from 40hz to 60hz it hit 144db on a Termlab....
his last box hit 147db on a Audiocontrol..

the difference between an Audiocontrol mic and a Termlab
is about 8db or so....so it is a bit louder
we will play around with it a bit and
see if we can squeeze any more out of it

fiberglass is resonance
it never sounds as good as mdf and to make it so is prohibitive in cost curious tho whats the f3 of that enclosure in that car

Your box is too small for that size of box (1.0), I would try 1.3-1.5 cuft per...great idea thou...
