this box was built to Bassworx recommended volume
they recommend 1.0cf3 per sub plus sub and port diss tunned at 56hz....

I kind of thought it was a bit small but I tried it any ways
no love lost..it's only 35 bucks worth of MDF

he did a sweep from 40hz to 60hz to get the 144db

I played withTermpro and it tells me this box peaks at about 68hz
so we will do some more testing and see what happens

if all you care about is db's and if that's a demo car why not just build a nice wall. tune it low and do 150's with music. maybe even put some invert mounted subs in there or something.

any ways.....

he won 1st place in Superstreet 1,2 no wall with the
60hz to 40hz sweep

I was playing with Termpro and it showed a nice peak at
64hz
we just did some testing with a sweep from 70hz to 60hz
and it really peaked out at 64hz....if he would have went
up a few hz his score would have been better but he
still took home 1st place

we will get some mic time soon here and see what it
does in the higher freq....there is a comp coming up
in August...everything will be tunned in

they beefed it up in all the places they were advised to...great company!!
i can't wait to try a set of them out....
btw, anyone think that they would be more marketable to spl guys with lower impedence, say dual 1 or 1.4 coils.
if there is a large enough demand, they will build it.

his last box hit 147db on a Audiocontrol..

the difference between an Audiocontrol mic and a Termlab
is about 8db or so....so it is a bit louder
we will play around with it a bit and
see if we can squeeze any more out of it
were you testing on the ac180 or ac190 before?

this box was built to Bassworx specks...
the only changing factor was going from the
4" round ports to a slot port

the 1.0cf3 seems a little small to me...
I'm going to play with this one a bit and try another
one a little bigger and tune it to the resonance freq
of the vehicle and see the diff
