Best way to construct 5.25 or 6.5 pod

I think I will do mdf rings because I have a bunch of mdf already. I am thinking I will just do kick pods in the fronts for 6.5" components and then just get a cheaper set of 4" components for the rears. I will do kick pods because I think it would be hard to fit 6.5"s under the door. What's a good 6.5" set of components for $200-$300, looking for smooth highs and preferable 150w rms at 2 ohms.

i think that whole plastic piece the speaker is mounted to would vibrate alot if you pumped that much power into them.
