check this design.

the box is for a 12" type R 500wrms. daily driver mainly listening to rap.are these dimensions/tuning good?
Box- 1.7 cubes @ 36Hz

23"W x 15"T x 16"D

i suggest something closer to 2 cubic feet. in my experiencies with type r's, they like a good amount of cubic feet

yeah i tried one at 2 at like 35hz and pretty sure it could be louder.
just trying out diff. boxes to see whats good.

a smaller enclosure is going to yield a more flatter responce, but then your taking away from the cubic footage of the enclosure. 36hz and 35hz will not be a noticble difference to the ear. what do you feel your enclosure/subwoofer lacks? low end? punch?

well this is my first sub soo not too experianced, but i mean for a type r and 500 wrms into it just seems like it can be louder, so more punch.
