Those are the specs to tune a certain box volume for a specific number of subs to 40hz. What box size are you using? How many are you using and what size? For example if you want a 3.5 ft^3 box and you are using two 12's you need to build a port that is 56 inches square (ie width times the height of the slot port) and have it 16" long. That tunes it to 40 hz.

None of those boxes are the correct one for a single DD3512.

Ha, missed that. The larger the box the happier you are going to be with a pair of 3512's. Too bad, my dad was just here and I could have sent a box up there with him for you.

Larger as in within the recommended range as provided by DD. We did a couple of boxes (aptly called a dog house due to the size of the port) that had it's gross volume land around the 6 cubic foot mark. Subtract the displacement of the subs and the port and it the net volume was 5 cubes. The things wailed in a chevy Tahoe and on the back seat of a Chev Pu. Waaaaay too much bass for me personally but enough to know when they were coming from a long way away.
