What if Yuli told you that jumping off the CN Tower will gain your 6 dB's... Would you do it?

No, but I figure he knows what hes talking about when it comes to making enclosures loud. Why would I not do it? If I owned a meter I'd do a comparison test, but seeing as I don't I want to make this enclosure as loud as I can on the first try.

Excuse my ignorance - in post # 52 of this thread, what is the purpose for the sections of, what appears to be, cut PVC pipe?

I didn't see it anywhere else in the enclosure...

Cheers!

The Pvc pipe helps the air roll undisturbed vs straight out of the port. It does make a slight difference,

however the resin of a box on the outside, other then making it more slippery does it really make THAT much adifference?

And Jalat, If yuli said throwing YOU off a cn tower to make me 6db's louder, You better wear a helmet man , cause your going for a flight

So would it be on the backside of the port wall area, in the chamber where the sub is?

Again, I have no experience with vented enclosures or SPL... but interested in learning.

Originally I thought that it might be used at the mouth of the port to create a type of flare... but the finished photo did not show that.

yep, you got the idea of the 'flare'. and im not sure if its just this application that N130Gv2 didnt want to add them on the outside so he did on the inside to keep it clean?
