Enclosure finish.

I'm searching non stop all over the internet for a method on how to do a specific looking finish to a sub enclosure. What i wanna do is carpet the back, top, bottom and both sides and use bondo or something on the front to create a paintable surface. My issue is finding a method to do this so that the transition from carpeting to the front surface is clean and smooth looking.

Any thoughts or ideas would help greatly.

Have a good look at how the premade boxes do it. You carpet the sides right around the front edges and make the baffle so it inserts into the front. The baffle then secures to stringers you put inside the box.

yeah, i think it was the bassworx ones i was examining before. I was just kind of curious to see what other ideas or methods people might think up. Hoping to get a solid design down before i go wasting materials .
