False Floor/Amp Rack Supplies
Hey guys, first off, let me say awesome site.
Anyways here's the deal for me. I'm an Edmonton guy in the midst of a "restoration" on an '88 Accord, and I'm really really interested in doing a false floor/amp rack (the ones over top of the spare tire with a plexiglass viewing window.
I just need some basic advice. I know to run 2 PC fans, one blowing air out, one pushing it in for a kind of convection effect, and I know that since I'm running 2 amps and 2 fans and probably a couple LED strips or some EL wire, that I'll need a relay off of my turn on wire... and that pretty much sums up what I know. I have all of the necessary tools and skill to build what I need to, I just want some pointers. For example, where to get 1/4 plexi for less than $84 for a 2ftx4ft sheet, etc. Also I'm interested in subbing the plexi for some diagonal steel mesh like gutter guard. The main point for me here is going to be strength. My car is a sedan so I carry most stuff in the back seats, but I don't wanna wipe out the functionality of my trunk. Something durable enough to have a school bag sit on top of it basically. And on a budget.
Thanks in advance for the help, and sorry for the beastly huge post.
