gonna try and biuld a crazy solid seald box help and sugetions plz

just wondering what is going to help and whats hurt my sound quality

this is for 1 12" subwoofer looking for very tight responsive bass

going to start with 1" MDF construction,

screw and glue everything (leapage wood glue? or PL Premium?)

cornner bracing (you know 1"mfd with 2X 45* bevels) all around every corner

seal all inside edges with cocking

no sure about this part i thought of using truck bed spray all the inside for crazy good seal or rubberized undercoating

roxul insolation (house sound dampining insolation) all 5 walls inside box

bolt with T-nut on the inside to mount the sub

yet u mention nothing about power.

1 inch mdf for a single 12 is way over kill unless u are putting like 5,000 watts into it

well should be able to get up to 2700 watts rms to it

even if its overkill still not going to hurt my sound quality is it?

the more solid an enclosure is constructed the better it will sound...

you don't need anything more than wood glue either

cocking isnt needed, stick with a decent glue. Also I would use fiberglass resin instead of bedliner inside and just paint it if u want that black look. 3/4 would also be more then sufficient for this box but 1" deffinatelly wont hurt at all!

it's all money if your running 1" not going to hurt anything but it's going to be more expensive, i don't use anything more then wood glue when i build box's... if you glue it properlly you shouldn't need the bed liner or resin or whatever you choose.
