Help with port and box for 2 10s

I'm trying to get 34-35hz out of a box I'm building for 2 10's, does anyone know the *actual* displacement of a 9510g? I calculated it as .29 each. Is 53.65625 sq in x 20" of port and 3.2 cuft 35hz?

The box is

14.625 x 31.5 x 25.25, 1" spacing for subs, port 4.25" x 12.625" x 20 long.

It works out to 5.011 - port 0.621 (I didn't add the red area) - 0.58 (displacement) - 0.61 for bracing/stuffing = 3.2 or 1.6 each. DD's recommends 1.6 each, 35-40hz with 52 sq in port and 20" long, but do I calculate the red area as port area? Thanks.

Port sq in could also be 50.5 (4" port) x 20. That's 4.969 for airspace and would need 0.568 stuffing for 1.6ea, 1.634ea with 0.5" stuffing. I'll want the two corners rounded off or braced with triangles 12.625 high, will that take up 0.5 cuft?

I'm going with this box I think. Firing everything into the cabin with seats folded down.

1” mdf/.5" spacing/4.5x11.625x20" port=52.3125 sqin/0.605cuft (not counting that red which I need to know)
13.625 x 30.25 x 25.5 total
4.466 total - 0.605 port - 0.58 disp = 3.261/1.6305ea
No stuffing and dd recommends 1.625/52sqin x 20.

If you consider the red part not port area which I hope than:

(red is not port) 4.466+.136 = 4.602 total, - .605 - .58 = 3.417/1.7085 each/-.2 stuffing = 1.6085 each/52.3125sqin port x 4.5 x 11.625 x 20, .5” spacing.

If it is port area than theres 1.5725 cuft each and it's still OK I guess.

These links might help you out a little.

I think you're making it more complicated than you need to be.
Also the area in the red WILL be accounted in the port length.
Mainly do to the width.

Driver displacement is .1781ft^3

How much power are your giving the woofers?
What vehical is it going into?

If it was me I'd go 3 cubic feet tuned @ 38hz

3000W @ 1ohm in an Alero, I'm trying to get the lowest tune (35).

1” spacing/mdf
14.625h x 31.25w x 21d = 4.06 cuft
Port 4 x 12.625 x 20 = 50.5 sqin/.584 cuft
4.06 - .584 - .3562 / 2 = 1.5599 ea

How do you calculate the correct tuning?

those subs have a fairly high Fs. you can still tune high (38hz) and pound the lows.

with my AQ, there was no audible difference in lows from an enclosure tuned to 34hz and an enclosure tuned to 38hz

what do you want outta your system, something thatll get loud at comps, or a daily ground pounder?

Something that has the same effect as putting my head out the window at 80km/h. I want it to hit the lows and not drop on its face after 45hz (60 is a good cutoff for my ears). I was going to use 12's but I can't fire the port into the car the box can only be about 30 wide. I could use 12's and have the port fireing at the side but I don't know how it'll sound. I wanted to fill the rest of my trunk with styrofoam or something around the box so all the sound gets into the car I guess. I don't know if that's something I wanna do but I'd make it look clean.
