I didn't like it a whole bunch, the center console and the underdash ate all my music.....as for the wiring on the drivers side, these were built around the wires (over them) but the plastic that is housing the wires needs to be removed, then each wire extended and re-routed (this winters project).....I've since moved midrange to the dash and midbass into the doors, I like it a LOT better.

I'll see if I still have the kicks, you can have them for the cost of shipping if I do, it'll give you something to work with for starters if you want.
(Wife probably threw them out though.)

That looks very nice, and clean too..I was more interested in the drivers side if you happen to have any pics of that...wondering what to do with the hood release and emergency brake. Thank you for the piture and if you happen to find them some day it would be greatly apprechiated, but after your comments I am wondering if kick pods would even be worth it? I was think of the pods for my mid and tweet and midbass into the door..never heard an Intrepid with kick pods before to make a judgement..maybe I should leave the 6.5 in the doors (which have been rebuilt with glass, damped and angled toward listeners) tweets in tha A pillar and build an enclosure onto the seat fronts for the midbass?

I'll look for the drivers side pic later hen I get home, I didn't build these. I think you can make kicks work well, these just weren't angled properly as well as my driver selection made me not so happy, I now have midbass in the doors, tweet and midrange in the A pillar, much nicer.

lemme see if I can find build pics of the kicks for you.

....found it, here's the guy that built them, second or third page shows the complete build, also a second gen trep New kicks - Diy Mobile Audio - The Ultimate In Sound Quality

sent you a message earlier but don't see it on here now, not sure what happened..any ways thank you for the link to the site with your kick pod pics on it..never knew about that site..I have built pods before but never considered it with the Intrepid because there didn't seem to be enough room there with the e-brake..I am going to give it a try anyways..think I'll leave my mids in the doors and try to stuff my Illusion nd8 into the kick pods..they only need 0.4 ft/3. I noticed in your pics that you have used two different mids...what were they? and do you have any pics of your new set up with your mids on top of the dash? would be interesting to see..

The fist pics were of mine after I got them from the guy who built them, they had peerless HDS tweets and some seas 4.5 inchers.....the link I sent you was of the guy who actually built them, he had the 4 inch revelators (drool) with the HDS tweeter....just putting midbass down there should work out perfectly for you.

I'll post up pics of current install when I make some to post
heres a pic of my doors with the JL 4inch and the Rainbow 6.5 inch (no longer either)

So is that where you are leaving the speakers? 4" and 6.5" in the doors and some kind of tweets in the dash or pillar. You find that to be best sounding for you? I haven't done much testing with mine at all..I built the doors with the baffles aimed as much as I could get them toward the listener ( would have prefered more angle) and the tweets in the sail panels and I kepts bending the brakets there for months until I got what I felt was best..I just installed some Illusion 8" in (oversized) temporary enclosures on the floor in front of the front seats. Not even subs yet and I really like the sound so I am thinking with your thoughts on kick pod mids and tweets and the extensive work I did on my door pads maybe I should leave my mids and tweets where they are and put the midbass in the kicks or maybe some type of enclosure mounted to the seat fronts and aimed off of the windshield..need to get busy installing my subs and amps..

the picture above with the 6.5 and 4 in the door, I didnt like at all, this install has different 6.5 in the doors, and midrange and tweets fiberglassed to the A pillar.....

your idea for the midbass in the kicks sounds good to me...thats my winter project (another one)
