Need Help to Design a Custom Box for 2 10" Type R's

Hi, I'm looking for someone to help design me a box for 2 10" Alpine Type R's for my 2004 Acura TSX. I'm debating whether I should have a single box for both subs or if I should make two separate boxes so that they can be placed along the sides of my trunk in order to save me some trunk space. At the end of the day, I just want a box made to spec that will sound clean and hit hard. Please let me know if you're able to help me out.

Thanks

Just post your max dimensions allowable and lots of folks will help you out...myself included. Do you want a ported system or sealed? What ype of music do you listen to mostly? What amp are you using to power them? If you need space, consider using a single 12" in a ported box..it can easily exceed 2 10" in a sealed box in terms of output...and sound great as well.

regardless of one or two boxes, the design will be the same. If you take the Alpine recommended box design for one sub, whether sealed or ported, and combine it, the volume will double. If you use ported then you can have 2 ports, each the same as a single sub design. There is also the idea that even if you use one box, they should be separated by a sealed wall. The reason is that if one blows, the other will be stilll isolated. If the box is common, and one blows, the other sees twice the volume and will result in overexcursion and mechanical dammage

and... will one big box fit into the trunk opening????

Thanks for the quick replies. I used to run a single 10" Type X with an Alpine MRD1001 and it sounded great but the sub blew and I'm not sure if the amp is toast or not (I have someone taking a look at it right now). That said, I have 2 10" Type R's laying around but your comment on running a single 12" has got me thinking about ditching the 10's and running a single 12", preferably a 12" JL W6. Ideally, I'd like to pair it with a Jl 500/1 but then again, I'm also looking at upgrading the factory speakers and getting another amp to run them so I'll have to take a look at what I can afford!

In terms of the music I listen to, I'd say its mostly hip hop but I do change it up a bit with drum and bass, alternative, ambient, etc.

I'm going to figure out my sub/amp situation in the next couple of days and will let you know from there. Thanks again.
