Question about proximity of 2 subs??

Hey guys,
just a quick question - i'm doing a wedge style bow for my sport tac, and mounting depth is a main issue. anyways, i have fiberglassed a new box that is 4 feet wide and 1 feet tall and .5 feet wide (average) so i'm looking at about a 2 cu ft box. the subs need 1.6 so i'm much better now than i was with my last box which was at 1.2 cuft.

Anyways, the question is have is that this is how the subs will mount in my box:

does it make a difference if both subs are mounted so close together on one side of the box? i mean does it limit it's performance at all? the reason i had to do this was because i wanted to flush-muont them and the right side had the space to do this.

thanks for your input guys.

I'm not a genius on the subject, but I don't see a problem with this setup. don't take my word on it though.

i thought not as well Scroudt111, but just wanted to confirm.

Also, it is a sealed box with the back made out of FG and the sides, bottom and front made of 3/4 mdf.

You will not have a problem, I would put a divider about 3" deep between the subs.

It helps keep the baffle from flexing.
