quick areoport question
I've got crazy trunk space (95 cadillac deville) fit bodies for days if I wanted. Space is not an issue. Right now I've got an Obcon GZ enclosure (pic & specs below) for my two-12s. Would an aeroported box sound better if pointed in toward the car? (i've got seats covering but an opening where my arm rest is)? Would it affect quality, SPL, rattle of my crazy trunk, or even just be better in general?
Pic Of box here
12" - 14.0"H x 34.0"W x 15.5"D - 1.65 Cu Ft Air Space/Chamber
it is tuned to: i have no idea, i tried the port length equation and if I did the math right 35 hz tuned I would need a port length of 42.8" ? I didn't think it made sense....
Or would keeping the ported box, with a "reverberated" port, be a better choice? Would even a different company be better than obcon in enough of a way I notice it?
I seen this thread (below) and they had mixed opinions, I figured I would ask here since I didn't really get a straight answer.
