Quick question

i got a diagram for a single 12inch ported box and i got 2 subs so for the port do u double the size of that aswell or?

go here,its the best ive found for enclosure building,it gives measurements for slot ported boxes. www.subwoofertools.com go to calculaters,panel layout,v4

you only shange the port size if you change the volume. If the volume stays the same the port stays the same. You are tunning volume not # of subs.

Ok so then you are decreasing internal volume so if anything you need to make your port area smaller not larger, or keep it the same and add length, but in turn that then also displaces volume so as you tune lower with port length you are kinda working against yourself.

the design i looked at was 3 CU ft per sub and im fixing my explorer so space aint an issue i was just wondering bout the port ima double everything else..(case ure wondering i was told the box has great output with my subs)

So how about just making two boxes with a shared wall (that is, one box with a big sealed brace in the middle) and two ports - one of the original size in each?
