Regular cab box design questions

Hopefully Ive found the right place to get some help.

I am trying to build a box in the near future but would like to work out a few questions i have because i'd rather do it right the first time..

I will be running a 10
I was n a shop today and they have a box that was tuned to 45Hz, It was set up were the sub was behind passenger and vent went the length of the box and turned so it was venting behind the drivers elbow when in the truck.... I asked if this was a high tune and he stated that when in the truck the Vent going into the back of the seat made it the right tune ( he stated some tech terms that I really didnt catch)

Is it key to have the vent L shaped or can it just travel the length ( not complete length but whatever is required for the correct tune ) of the box and vent straight out to the driver side....

This will be going in a 07 New body style silverado So if anyone has any knowledge of Fullsize regular cab trucks any help would be greatly appreciated...

IMO it is best to avoid bends in a vent whenever possible.

I always aimed port toward the ceiling to reduce interfering turbulence. Unless the box isn't the width of the entire cab, then I would vent out the side. Make sure ports are flared.

The box is going to be like 46inches across the back. So I will be able to have my side all the way back as I need all the leg room i can get. and i figure i can make a nice amp rack there behind my seat. Also there is the middle seatbelt thing mounted to the floor that takes up alot of room....
