depending on the car you have, and amount of space, will ultimately determine whether you should go 12's or 10's

either will be good though
cool,
If I have the space I'm going to stick with 12's. I will take your advice and go with just over 4ft^3 for the box. I'm pretty confident I have the space for it, just need to measure and figure out the shape I want and how I'm going to build it (outside the car then slide it in, or build it right in the car if it is too big)
Any good box design drawings for these?

if you can give me your maximum dimensions you have to work with, i can sketch up a design for you.

and its much easier to build the enclosure outside of the car first, rather than inside the car.

It's an 09 Cobalt. Quite a bit of space in the trunk. Only problem is getting the box IN, as the opening is quite small, so I'll have to measure the opening for the back seat to the trunk because that's the only way my current box fit in.

no, it's not a hatch back, and that would shake my rear deck and deflect the sound wave since I fat-matted the rear deck. I've already made my decision on that.
