i know i realized that right after i posted it lol.... well thats my question, how can i locate the sub and not waste too much space... i can thicken the separation, but that will waste quite a bit of space.... maybe something like:

Where the port width hopefully will be more then mounting depth of the driver.... again this doesn't provide accurate port length... I couldn't find any cross section of T-line boxes ;/ should the driver have separate "chamber"and then the port will start after that?

First thing ... way to jack buddies thread. lol Second finding a way to have the sub fit is one of the fun parts of designing it. What sub are you using? How deep is it? What is it's Sd? I'll try to make something really quick for ya.

Should be something similar to this.

I literally threw this together it is for nothing at all. But should look similar... The Sd must be equal to the port area. Usually the walls are as close to the sides of the sub to allow enough depth. Always try to bring the port back up next to the speaker or 180* behind it. Hope this helps give you an idea.

N130Gv2 thank You for advice, I know what I gotta do now :]... I was just making sure that my idea of placing the sub is not totally wrong.... so to get this thing right, the port length is pretty much the whole box? or it starts about when the sub ends?.... Oh and im using a discontinued Visonik sub that I cant get any info whatsoever on, so it should be interesting...(Model: Visonik V1265S4 its the "high performance" version lol)

So after a nice road trip for work yesturday with about 12 hrs of drive time I got it sounding very nice. it does not quite as much output as before because the crossover is set about 50 hz or a little lower on amp but i really love the sound of it and the lows are what I ve been after for a along time
still gonna meter it to see how much diff there is between boxes. And then design another for 2 12's but may have to remove part of back seat to make fit... will go see buddy don this weekend with it and see about tweeking first before going ahead with doubling it. there is alot of acdc songs that have no responce at that low of crossover but may need better mid bass. But seems airforces is the peak song and the one for bass race. but soul surviour has never sounded so good from a 12.

TL's are too big for cars in generall. As are horns. IB or sealed can give you a great response in most cars. TL's have a place in audio, just not in car audio IMHO.

That's definitely one heck of a TL enclosure though.
