Toyota Tercel 15" ported box

Lookin for some advice on a good box design for a single 15" for a Toyota Tercel.
The car doesnt allow much height because the trunk opening is only 15" high and my sub is 15.5" wide, so i cant face the sub in or to the back of the trunk. The only option i can see is to face the sub up. So now i am trying to figure out what the best port direction would be?
Do i face it up along with the sub?
Do i face it to the back?
Firing into the car?
Firing to the side really isnt an option in this case, so i guess there is no point in asking about it. I am aiming for a 4" slot port, and somewhere around 3.5 - 3.8 ft³.
What works best for people out there?
Anyone got any advice? .... other than buying a bigger and more solid car.

I should also mention, this isnt strictly for SPL. It is my daily driver, so i plan to stick with more of a daily setup than SPL. I am just looking to get as loud as possible in the process of keeping it tuned lower than most SPL setups.
Looking for somewhere around a 33 - 35Hz tuning range.

i'm not to smart in designing enclosures but would you be able have the sub on an angle facing the rear of the car and have the slot pointing upwards? like this..

Never been a big fan of the angled boxes, but nice to see someone post an idea so fast!
Thanks for the quick response.

yea i've never really been a fan of em either.. lol.. just throwin out an idea :P seeing as your sub can barely stand up in your trunk on its own i figured just toss if on an angle and it'l fit just fine :P i imagine if its built properly it could sound awesome.. but its all really personal preference when you have a few different options

I am thinking i will fire the sub up and fire the port into the car. If it doesnt sound quite right i will turn the box around to fire the port into the rear of the trunk, but i would imagine it would sound better facing it into the car. Guess i wont know till i try, right?
